Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF):  A law enforcement organization within the United States Department of Treasury with unique responsibilities dedicated to reducing violent crime, collecting revenue, and protecting the public.

Bureau of Justice Statistics:  An excellent site provided by the U.S. Department of Justice.

CDC WONDER:  CDC WONDER provides a single point of access to a variety of CDC reports, guidelines, and numeric public health data.

Centers for Disease Control (CDC):  The CDC, located in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, is an agency of the Department of Health and Human Services that endeavors to promote health and quality of life by preventing and controlling disease, injury, and disability.

Central Intelligence Agency (CIA):  The CIA is charged with coordinating the nation's intelligence activities and correlating, evaluating, and disseminating intelligence which affects national security. 

Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI):  Link to the home page of the principal investigative arm of the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ).

Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP):  Link here for all your BOP information.  Be sure to check out their "Links" page, too.  Includes links to the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the National Institute of Corrections, among others.

FedStats:  Provides easy access to statistics and information produced by more than 70 U.S. Federal Government agencies.

FedWorld:  Includes access to thousands of U.S. Government web sites, and more than a 1/2 million U.S. Government documents, databases, and other information products.

GovBot:  GovBot has gathered 1,594,012 web pages from U.S. Government and Military sites around the country. You can search the GovBot database by from this site.  

Justice Information Center (JIC):  A service of the National Criminal Justice Reference Center (NCJRC), this is one of the most extensive sources of information on criminal and juvenile justice in the world.  Start here and you'll find links to numerous other offices and government agencies.

Library of Congress:  The Library's mission is to make its resources available and useful to the Congress and the American people and to sustain and preserve a universal collection of knowledge and creativity for future generations.

Minnesota Association of Community Corrections Act Counties:  An association of counties who operate corrections programming.  This site offers valuable information on a broad range of topics within corrections.

Official Federal Government Web Sites:  This will link you to the Executive branch, but you can also click on the Judicial and Legislative branches once there. 

State and Local Sites:  Includes meta-indexes for state and local government information, and much more.

State Home Pages:  Provides a quick and easy list of the official home pages of all 50 states. 

United States Marshals Service: America's oldest federal law enforcement agency and the first accredited federal law enforcement agency.  The United States Marshals Service protects the federal courts and ensures the effective operation of the judicial system.

United States Secret Service:  Official site of the U.S. Secret Service; this site offers information on protection services, investigations, counterfeit detection, procurement, and FAQs.

U.S. Federal Government Agencies:  Start here for a list of Federal Government Agencies on the internet. This site provides a list of links on all three branches of government, plus independent and quasi-official agencies.
