All Refer Health:  Extensive resource that provides comprehensive information and news on a number of topics, including medicine and psychology.

American Statistical Association's Guide to Abstracts and Bibliographies:  The purpose of this site is to provide information on the many Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) data sets on crime and criminal justice in the United States.

APA's PsychPORT:  PsycPORT® is a product of the American Psychological Association created to provide quick access to mass-media information related to psychology.

Bureau of Justice Statistics:  An excellent site put out by the U.S. Department of Justice.

CDC WONDER:  CDC WONDER provides a single point of access to a variety of CDC reports, guidelines, and numeric public health data.

Center for the Study and Prevention of Violence (CSPV):  In an effort to establish more complete and valuable information to impact violence-related policies, programs, and practices, CSPV works from a multi-disciplinary platform on the subject of violence and facilitates the building of bridges between the research community and the practitioners and policy makers.

Centers for Disease Control (CDC):  The CDC, located in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, is an agency of the Department of Health and Human Services that endeavors to promote health and quality of life by preventing and controlling disease, injury, and disability.

Centre for Crime and Justice Studies:  As a non-campaigning body, the Institute now exists to bring together criminal justice practitioners, sentencers, policy makers and academics through a programme of conferences, courses, seminars, lectures, study visits, research and publications.

Clinical Trials.Gov:  The U.S. National Institutes of Health, through its National Library of Medicine, has developed ClinicalTrials.gov to provide patients, family members and members of the public current information about clinical research studies.

Computer Crime Research Resources:  This compilation of information presents research resources for those interested in the topic of computer crime.

Crime Times:  Provides research reviews and information on biological causes of criminal, violent, and psychopathic behavior.

FedStats:  Provides easy access to statistics and information produced by more than 70 U.S. Federal Government agencies.

FedWorld:  Includes access to thousands of U.S. Government web sites, more than a 1/2 million U.S. Government documents, databases, and other information products.

Highwire Press:  HighWire Press is one of the two largest archives of free full-text science on Earth. They have assisted in the online publication of over 150,000 free full-text articles and over 690,000 total articles. 

Home Office Research Development and Statistics Directorate (RDSD):  RDSD maintains the various statistical services published by the Home Office (the government department responsible for internal affairs in England and Wales) and carries out its own research as well.  Search for research and statistics by subject and/or go to the Home Office Home Page for more data.

Justice Information Center (JIC):  A service of the National Criminal Justice Reference Center (NCJRC), this is one of the most extensive sources of information on criminal and juvenile justice in the world.  Start here and you'll find links to numerous other offices and government agencies.

Legal Citations:  Sections on this web site include an introduction to basic citation, how to cite, examples of citations, underlining, placing citations in context, and Bluebook coverage.

Mayo Clinic:  The Mayo Clinic has grown to three clinics and four hospitals in Minnesota, Florida and Arizona that treat more than 400,000 patients each year, supported by extensive research and education programs.

Mental Health:  A Report of the Surgeon General:  Review this report and other Surgeon General reports dating back to 1964.  Also, obtain information on conferences, workshops, and other publications.

National Archive of Criminal Justice Data (NACJD):  A branch of the Inter-University Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR) at the University of Michigan, NACJD acquires, archives, processes, and provides access to computer-readable criminal justice data collections for research and instruction free of charge.

National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse:  Browse this site at your leisure or sign up for their e-mail list.

National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH):  Practitioners, researchers, and the public can obtain information on recent news and events, clinical trials, funding opportunities, and research.

National Institute of Nursing Research:  The National Institute of Nursing Research supports clinical and basic research to establish a scientific basis for the care of individuals.

Police Executive Research Forum (PERF):  The Police Executive Research Forum (PERF) is a national membership organization of progressive police executives from the largest city, county and state law enforcement agencies.  PERF is dedicated to improving policing and advancing professionalism through research and involvement in public policy debate.

Predictors of Youth Violence:  This Bulletin describes a number of such risk and protective factors, including individual, family, school, peer-related, community/neighborhood, and situational factors.

PubMed:  The National Library of Medicine's (NLM's) search service to access the 9 million citations in MEDLINE and Pre-MEDLINE (with links to participating on-line journals), and other related databases.  Link also to the NLM home page. 

Rand Corporation:  Rand is a non-profit institution that helps improve policy and decision making through research and analysis---among other things, this site provides research reports and publications.

Storming Media - Behavioral Sciences Reports:  Pentagon documents about Behavioral Sciences distributed by Storming Media, including ones on Psychology and Human Factors Engineering & Man Machine Systems.

Threat Assessment:  Threat Assessment: An Approach To Prevent Targeted Violence.  A 14 page report offered through the National Institute of Justice Research.
